Television – Will It Still Be Here In The Future?

These days a lot of people spent most of their time on the web and you will occasionally here comments about TV being dead. Think about it, why would we need television when there is so much choice on the internet? The internet gives you the opportunity to watch a host of TV programmes no matter where you are in the world and you are not stuck to any kind of schedule. One of the exciting things about this is the fact that there are some programmes which actually have to be watched online. And the fact that it is not expensive to make online shows, means that just about anyone could make one. It is now not only possible to watch shows on the internet but to also make them and be the star of them too if we want.
However it would be very early to start thinking that television has had its day. Those in the television industry however, have not been sitting on their laurels waiting for the internet to push television off its pedestal; instead they have been making their own developments so that we have even more choice. Things like High Definition television and the selection of hundreds of television channels is something that will keep people switching on the box. Even those who spend a lot of time surfing the web will at least have the TV on in the background. And there are still many people who prefer to watch the television rather than spend hours online. We really can’t predict what is going to happen ten or twenty years down the road but we can rest assured that television is not going anywhere at the moment. It is actually more likely that the world of television and online shows will probably become closer than ever. Things like Google TV will likely mean that in the future watching TV will be a far more interactive experience.
